Bulk Item of the Month: Turkish Figs

Turkish figs are native to the Middle East, and Western Asia. They can grow in dry climates and higher altitudes, and tolerate seasonal droughts.

One cup of figs contains 88 grams of carbohydrates, 24 grams of fiber, 4 grams of protein, and 240 mg. of calcium.

Want an easy hors d' oeuvres that will wow guests? Cut figs in half lengthwise, shmear goat cheese on cut end, top with a whole almond, lightly drizzle honey on all of the fig halves!
