At MaMa Jean’s Natural Market, Every Day is Earth Day! We do our best to reduce our carbon footprint and each year we are getting better at it! Here are some ways we are green:
- We encourage you to bring your own bag!
- We sell several types of reusable bags including beautifully crafted African Market Baskets.
- We save boxes for you to use for your groceries.
- We sell numerous types of reusable water bottles, including our favorite, Life Factory, glass water bottles.
- We recycle.
- We compost our old produce.
- We source local to reduce our carbon footprint.
- We allow you to bring your own containers to fill up in our bulk departments.
- We sell various types of empty containers for bulk items.
- We sell glass growlers to fill up with kombucha!
- We sell in bulk.
- We allow you to bring your own coffee cup for refills.
- We chose a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum Building for our Republic Road location.
- We have gardens at our East Sunshine and Republic Road locations which help the bees.
- We have bee hives at our East Sunshine location.
