Employee ownership marks a new chapter for the Springfield-rooted company and its team.
MaMa Jean’s Natural Market is proud to announce that the company has officially transitioned to 100% employee ownership.
The transition represents an exciting new chapter for MaMa Jean’s and the people who have helped build the company.
“We couldn’t think of better people to sell our business to than the ones who helped build it,” said co-founders Susie Kawamoto & Diana Hicks.
As the company grows and succeeds, the value of the employee ownership benefit has the potential to grow as well, and provides employees with an opportunity to build an additional benefit for their future.
Employee ownership also brings a new perspective to the everyday work of the MaMa Jean’s team. Taking care of customers, growing sales, reducing waste, using resources responsibly, supporting coworkers and finding ways to improve the business all contribute to the company’s success — and, in turn, the potential value of employee ownership.
MaMa Jean’s looks forward to continuing its commitment to its employees, customers and community as a 100% employee-owned company.
