Our change for change chairy this February is Night Light International. Trafficking and exploitation happen right here in Springfield. Night Light offers intervention to sexually exploited women and children to enable them to discover their dignity, help them heal and empower them to live and work in their community. Doulas give new mothers the support they need to give their children a healthy, happy start in life. The Doula Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Springfield, MO that works to assist mothers and their families before, during, and after pregnancy in Greene County and the surrounding areas. Doulas are experienced birth companions who provide physical and emotional support before, during and after the birth. The word doula is Greek and means one who serves or “mothering the mother.”

Castaway Animals Rescue Effort, otherwise known as C.A.R.E., is a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals. Established in 1992, C.A.R.E. has saved over 25,000 lives and we are still counting. From our humble grassroots beginnings, we have grown into southwest Missouri's largest no-kill shelter. Operations are still overseen by founder and director, Melissa Sartin. Her compassion for all living creatures drives the organization forward.
