Maqui Berries

Maqui berries have been used for centuries by the Mapuche natives of Chile and Argentina as a tonic to improve strength and stamina. The berries, which taste like tart huckleberries, can also be used to make jam or eaten raw. Here are a few ways to enjoy this Chilean Superfruit!

Marvelous Maqui

1. Sprinkle berries into cereal or frozen dessert.

2. Make a tea using Maqui, hibiscus flowers, and rooibos for a super "zingy" beverage.

3. Take either grape or cranberry juice and pour a 1/2 cup of Maqui berries into juice and allow to sit at least 3 days. Strain out berries and you've got a super charged juice drink!

4. Blend into your favorite smoothie recipe.
